Background
'Generative Design' is a Processing bot that takes the latest abstract pictures from Flickr using an API and re-designs them by shifting groups of pixels randomly to the left and right. You can check out the actual Twitter bot by following @generativdesign.
This is how the Flickr API with free images looks like. The bot would pick a picture every 5 mins from the API and re-design it by randomly shifting pixels to the left and right.
On the left side is the actual picture and on the right is the distorted - bot picture
